DAILY STRUCTURE (Same Every Day)

1️ WARM-UP GAME (5 minutes)

Goal: Get the body moving + build motor skills
Student choice: Pick ONE warm-up game

Options (rotate daily):

  • Freeze Dance (move when music plays, freeze when it stops)
  • Snowstorm Moves (pretend wind is light → medium → heavy)
  • Animal Parade (bear crawl, penguin walk, bunny hops)
  • Mirror Me (copy a family member’s movements)

Differentiation

  • K–1: Simple movements, short bursts
  • 2–3: Add levels (high/low, fast/slow)
  • 4: Add patterns or sequences (jump → twist → clap)

 

2️ MAIN ACTIVITY: “CHALLENGE ZONE” (7–10 minutes)

Students choose ONE challenge from each category
(This keeps it fun + gives ownership)

 

🟢 A. MOVE CHALLENGE (Fitness)

Pick 3–4 movements and repeat 2–3 rounds

🟠 C. FUN IMAGINATION CHALLENGE

Pick ONE theme and move like it

  • Arctic Adventure (slide, climb, jump cracks in ice)
  • Superhero Training
  • Winter Obstacle Course (pillows, chairs, tape)
  • PE Dice (roll a die = number of reps)

 

3️ COOL DOWN + REFLECT (3–5 minutes)

Stretch + think

Stretches

  • Reach for snowflakes
  • Side bends
  • Toe touches
  • Deep breathing (inhale snow air ❄️, exhale)

Reflection (Choose ONE)

  • Draw your favorite move
  • Say or write:
    • “My heart was beating fast when…”
    • “One move I want to get better at is…”
  • Older students: rate effort 1–5
