Meet Your KSES Librarian- Jennifer Crawford

Hello! My name is Jennifer McGarrity Crawford. I began teaching in 1997 at Haywood Junior High in Brownsville, TN. After teaching 7th grade at Cheatham Middle School, I became a KSES Cardinal in the fall of 2000 when I began teaching 4th grade here. In the fall of 2018, I had the opportunity to become the librarian at KSES.

 

I graduated from Freed-Hardeman University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and secondary education. I later earned my M.Ed. in curriculum & instruction from Freed-Hardeman University. In December 2019, I completed coursework requirements at Middle Tennessee State University to add a library science endorsement to my teaching license.  I hope to complete my MLS degree at Middle Tennessee State University in December 2020. 

 

My husband and I have a wonderful son together. Outside of school, we like to travel and spend time with our family. Of course, my favorite hobby is getting lost in a good book!

 

I love being the teacher librarian to all the students at KSES. My goal is to help support the curriculum of the wonderful teachers at our school and foster a love of reading in our students.
